After 2 years of working from home, ProBAR’s Shelter Services team has returned to providing in-person services at ORR (Office of Refugee Resettlement) facilities across the Rio Grande Valley. Due to the unique challenges that presented during virtual services, the team expanded their strategies to improve engagement with the children they serve, but they were nonetheless eager to resume connecting with children in-person.
For this edition’s Program Spotlight, we spoke with members of the Shelter Services team about their experiences returning to familiar scenes equipped with new strategies and tools that help provide services capable of transforming lives.
