Volunteer Roles
Since ProBAR was founded in 1989, connecting immigrants and asylum-seekers with pro bono attorneys has been at the core of our mission. Today, the importance of volunteers to ProBAR is demonstrated in all of the ways that pro bono attorneys and other volunteers extend the reach and impact of our staff’s legal information services and direct representation.
Volunteers make incredible contributions to ProBAR’s work. Whether they are completing asylum applications, translating documents, organizing files at our office, or representing a client in a hearing, volunteers make a difference for immigrants and provide valuable support to our team.
During 2023, volunteers contributed more than 6,000 hours of their time, talent, and expertise to ProBAR and the individuals we serve. We are so grateful for this support!
