What do children in detention wish for?
At ProBAR, we ask children what they wish for every day. Most children might answer with a toy, a game, or a favorite food. But the children we meet in detention always answer differently.
“I want to be with my mom.”
“I want to go with my parents.”
We know that children don’t always have the words to express what they feel or what they need. But it is clear that these children are wishing for safety. They wish to be close to the people they love. They want what every child deserves: a family.
Your support has made our work possible. Now we need your help to respond to this potential influx of children in our region.
Help us make their wishes come true. Give now.
